Follow signs to East Fort Baker and the Bay Area Discovery Museum. From 101 traveling south: Exit at the last Sausalito Exit just before the Golden Gate Bridge and follow signs to East Fort Baker and the Bay Area Discovery Museum. By Bus For updated bus route information, call: Golden Gate Transit: (415) 923-2000. Note: It is a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop to the Museum Walking directions from Bus Stop/NORTH (Alexander Road/East Road): From the bus stop, take East Road, a scenic downhill walk that will lead you down to Fort Baker. As you reach the bottom of the hill, you will see the Museum on your left Walking directions from Bus Stop/SOUTH (Alexander Road): From the bus stop, walk downhill toward the City of Sausalito. You will pass a stop sign - keep walking straight down the hill, veering right. Very soon, you will see a left turn lane marked by a Marin Headlands sign. Go left on this road. Just before the 5-minute tunnel heading toward the Marin Headlands (don’t go through the tunnel!!), take a hairpin right at the yield sign. This will lead you down the hill to East Fort Baker. (Please be watchful of cars.) Once at the bottom of the hill, walk across the large circular field to the Museum
